Penny Serenade DVD starring Cary Grant and Irene Dunne.
Cary Grant and Irene Dunne play lovers whose destiny is tinged with tragedy and heartbreak. Recently married and living in Japan, the couple are caught in an earthquake which results in Dunne having a miscarriage. Heartbroken, the couple return to the States where they adopt a young girl. Happiness is interrupted yet again when the girl dies of a sudden illness. Succumbing to the pressures, their marriage eventually crumbles. All seems lost, when fate intervenes yet again. Far from maudlin, Penny Serenade is actually a heartfelt drama, filled with great sensitivity and plenty of humor. Co-stars Edgar Buchannon.
