1981 Corning Designs' Collector Plate.
#A1000D
Ceramic plate with 19th century Santa Claus.
From the back of its box: "Santa..., Developed by the great American illustrator Thomas Nast, first appeared in 'Harper's Weekly' in 1886. Nast's original cartoon has become the visual prototype of all subsequent Santas & is a delightful portrayal of the American spirit of Christmas."
10-1/4" in diameter. The painted trim around the edge is green, not gold as it may appear in the photo.
Condition: The front is Like New, the reverse has remains of tape which can probably be cleaned off by someone who is better at that sort of thing than I am. "Corning Designs" printed on the back. Sticker on back says "May be used for serving or display. For more information about the Corning Designs' Collectors Edition, Please Write: Corning Designs, Collector Plate Dept., 94 Northfield Ave., Raritan Center, Edison, NJ 08817," and has "1981" hand written on sticker. Original box, included, is in adequate condition, but not pristine.

I have to apologize for the quality of the photo. Can't scan it because it's too big and too reflective, and can't get a good photo, also primarily because it's too reflective.
