Start or add to your collection! This collection of 50 VIVA magazines includes five VIVA storage cases with "VIVA 19__" gold embossed on the spines.
This was a magazine that tried hard to attract woment the way Penthouse attracted men. It was actually published by people associated with Penthouse. They apparently decided that women weren't as crazy about photos of nude men as men were about photos of nude women, and somewhere along the line dropped the photos of men and concentrated on articles of interest to women. They apparently never found their niche, and stopped publication after several years.
Virtually all the magazines are in mint condition. Some have mailing labels affixed to the front cover, others were apparently mailed in brown wrappers and some residue of the glue that held the wrappers in place remains on the back covers.
Issues included:
1973 - November and December
1974 - January and February, and April through September
1975 - Entire year with two copies of May
1976 - February and May, and September through December
1977 - Entire year except October & December Sold @ $50 ea.
1978 - Entire year except September and except April Sold @ $50
1979 - January

Shipping and handling will be determined after an acceptable offer has been received, and will be based on the weight of the total shipment, the buyer's ZIP Code, and whether PA State Sales Tax applies, and whether insurance is requested. Although I want to sell this as a complete collection, I will consider a request to purchase individual issues. NOTE: Because these are consignment items I will have to contact the consignor with any offers before responding to your offer or inquiry.
Condition: I perused every one of these magazines, and only two are in less than mint condition. One had the front cover and first several pages folded, and one had some wrinkles and small tears on the front cover.
