Crackleware
So, what the heck is crackleware, you ask. Well, it's ceramic ware with crackled glaze purposely so designed. ("Crackle: a network of fine cracks on an otherwise smooth surface." Definition from Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary)
At one time, we imported gift items from around the world. These two pieces were originally for display. They were made in Western Germany (stickers still on bottom of each piece proclaim this).
Wheelbarrow

The Wheelbarrow measures 7" from the front of the wheel to the tip of the handles, is 2-1/2" wide, and stands 2-1/2" tall. There are three ball-point-pen point-sized pits on one side of the barrow's box from the manufacturing process. The wheel is as white and blue as the rest of the piece, but got shadowed in the scanning process. Originally priced at $12.95.

Flatiron

The Flatiron measures 4" long, is 2-1/2" wide, and stands 4-1/4" tall. There are no discernible imperfections. The top is hinged, and will stand vertically--put some posies in it. As with the wheelbarrow, the handle is as bright as the rest of the piece but was shadowed in the scanning process. Originally priced at $11.95.
