Picture postcard with legend "Fine Trout Streams, Kane, Pa. 22". Back says, "FINE TROUT STREAMS are abundant in the Kane vicinity. Chill spring water streams adequately stocked with brook, rainbow and brown trout lure anglers from many miles for catches such as displayed by a Kane angler. "Guess Who" with arrow on photo. Photo is of "Bud" Cliff, Kane, PA, who owned Cliff's Sporting Goods in Kane. Card was mailed to Mr. Cliff in approximately 1980, has return address sticker, 10¢ stamp, and message to Cliffs from "Rupp".
Reverse has no logo, but "Jobber-Bradford News Co., Bradford, PA, Photographer-John B. Cliff (subject's brother) Kane, PA" and "Tichnor Quality Views. Reg. U.S.Pat.Off Made only by Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston, Mass."
Condition: Very good. Some slight water stains around edges.

Picture taken from the then Penn-Kane Hotel (now New Thomson House—its original name) at the intersection of U.S. 6 & Pa. 68 (now Pa. 66) looking north. A picture taken from the same spot today would show an almost identical view!
Reverse has no logo, but description and "Pub. by Modern-Ad, Butler, PA" and "Dextone Made Direct from Kodachrome and Ansco Color By Dexter Press, Pearl River, N Y."
Card was never mailed, but has written in beautiful caligraphy "Here tis -Ed- Best Wishes". This was given to me over 50 years ago by a former employer who was a jeweler, Edw. L. Carlson, and who frequently inscribed certificates, etc., in his magnificent script.
Condition: Like new on face. Back is yellowed (but very legible) from the sticky backing in one of those "modern" photo albums that included a light glue to hold photos in place--what a stupid idea!

The Town Hall, Oslo, Norway c1965

The beautiful Main Hall of The Town Hall in Oslo, Norway. At 5-3/4" x 3-1/8", this is slightly larger than standard postcards.
Reverse has "Mittet" logo, 90 kroner stamp, postmarked Oslo on April 24, 1965. Message from yours truly to Mom and Dad.
Condition: Like new photo, except 1" crease in lower right corner.

Challedon c1975

Pictures row of townhouses in the then-new Challedon townhouse portion of the Glade Towne subdivision in Walkersville, MD. These houses were on Moon Maiden Court. The subdivision was built on a former racehorse ranch; Challedon and Moon Maiden were the names of but two of the horses raised there.
Reverse has "DP made by Dexter Press West Nyack, New York" logo and "Pub. & Photo by Harry Goodman, 3217 Pauline Dr., Chevy Chase, Md. 20015". Card never mailed and has pre-printed ad in message section of card.
Condition: Like new.

Moana and Surfrider Hotels, Waikiki Beach, c1977

Picture postcard with legend "Aerial view of Moana and Surfrider Hotels". Back says, "THE MOANA HOTEL is the oldest on Waikiki Beach and it is well known to people all over the world. Presidents, Kings and other dignitaries have headquartered there while in Hawaii. The weekend dances on the lanai, and the popular "Hawaii Calls" Show made the Moana well known to visitors and residents alike. B6568"
Reverse has "MS of Hawaii" and "the Continental card of Hawaii Mike Roberts" logos, and message from yours truly to Mom and Dad. At 6" x 4", this is a bit larger than standard postcards.
Personal Note: I stayed in this hotel at Thanksgiving time in 1977. There is a message I wrote to my parents when I mailed this to them (and a 13¢ stamp). I was thrilled to death to stay in this hotel because I remembered it from movies and radio broadcasts in my youth. As a kid in the 40s and 50s, Hawaii was a big thing with lots of pseudo Hawaiian music and movies, and newsreels of cruise ships arriving there. I always dreamed of going there, never thought I would, but managed a vacation there for about five days and four nights.
Condition: Like new on face, reverse used, as noted.
